Posted on: Tuesday 05th November 2013
Yattendon are very proud to have been awarded the prestigious Bledisloe Gold Medal for 2013 for a range of successful diversification projects and a commitment towards improving the rural environment.

The award is made annually to one landowner who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the successful land management and development of an agricultural estate in England.

Lord Iliffe commented: “I am thrilled to receive this prestigious award. It is not only recognition of everything that we have been working towards for the last twenty years but is also testament to the great work being done by the team at Yattendon and also the diverse community which exists on the estate.”

Humphrey Salwey, Chairman of the Judges, commented;

‘Yattendon is a truly exceptional example of an estate that has evolved over many years and continues to do so. The land and buildings have been adapted to modern uses while keeping the essential character and essence of the estate. Amongst many good points the judges noted was the outstanding way the business units had been tailor made for their various uses. Robert Iliffe, his family and management have a clear policy that they will be top class guardians of Yattendon while allowing staff and tenants to grow and develop in a remarkable environment.”
