Last night we celebrated the official opening of the Yattendon Village Stores & Post Office by Lord Iliffe ‘cutting the ribbon’. Despite the rain and high winds, over one hundred locals congregated in the Village Square to support the occasion.

Sunday 12th July saw the first Yattendon Classic Vehicle Celebration. Over 150 vehicles were on display including rare, vintage, military, farming, motorbikes and push bikes!

Goring Gap Boat Club have been granted planning to build a new boat house on land owned by the Estate on the River Thames at Lower Basildon.

Despite a very wet day the Yattendon Fete has, once again, raised a significant amount for local charities in 2014.

Yattendon is one of only 3 villages in Berkshire to make Country Life’s list of the 50 best places to live within an hour of London, alongside neighbouring Bucklebury and Bray.

The Estate will once again play host to the spectacular Road Carriage Club’s Summer Drive on August 10th 2014. The event involves upwards of 20 horse drawn carriages following a 9 mile route through the Estate on a summer’s Sunday morning.

Yattendon are very proud to have been awarded the prestigious Bledisloe Gold Medal for 2013 for a range of successful diversification projects and a commitment towards improving the rural environment.

The Royal Oak have done it again with yet another accolade to add to their list. In September they were announced as the winners of the Good Pub Guide 2014’s “Berkshire Dining Pub of the Year”.
